Who qualifies for Aid & Attendance?
- Veteran served at least 90 days on active duty with at least one day during a wartime period (WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Persian Gulf)
- Honorably or generally discharged
- Need help with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, ambulating)
- Income falls below the Maximum Annual Pension Rate (MAPR) — net income after medical/care expenses often qualifies people who initially seem too high
- Assets generally under $155,356 (2025 threshold, indexed annually); primary residence and vehicle excluded
